I use the 64-bit version of Ubuntu Gutsy, and the Opera web browser is not available in the distro repositories.
Luckily, I just stumbled upon an entry on Trent’s blog, in which he laments the drawbacks of 64-bit Ubuntu Gutsy, and goes on to discover how to overcome some of the drawbacks the very next day (scroll down and read the comments on the linked article). :-)
